Today is my first day of school at ACJC. Left home early in the morning at 5.50am. My flu was still as bad. Waited for the 243 bus for very long and boarded it only at 6.01am. Reached boonlay interchange and waited for 198 bus again. Boarded the 6.15am bus.

The route to ACJC is so damn familiar la. Been going down that very road for almost 4 whole years. (ACJC is only a few stops away from nanhua) But it feels so weird to go to school after about 3 months plus of non-schooldays. Didnt really know where ACJC is located at, only know roughly that i am to alight about 5 stops after nanhua. Luckily i managed to spot a couple of ACSians on the bus. Alighted the bus and met weiting, so walked to ACJC together with her.

Walking into the ACJC campus seems so weird. I felt like a trespasser, intruding a place where i dont belong at all. Weiting brought me to the hall where we are supposed to assemble at and we parted there. Didnt know where to go, the PAE people were all seated in their classes, so i stood outside the hall in a corner and waited. From the corner that i was standing at, i felt so lonely and out of place. Everybody seems to be in their cliques, chit-chatting and joking around. There were people from nanhua la. But i dont really know them and it would be weird for me to interrupt their clique's conversation.

An announcement for the second intake came and i joined the rest of the JAE students in the hall. Air-conditioned hall with chairs for every student. Considered quite a luxury le ba. I found an empty seat by the side of the hall and sat down. The assembly went on with the National Antheme led by the choir, followed by the pledge. After settling down, the 'bible' part came in. I was rather unwilling to listen, but had no choice. Though i am a freethinker, i am more towards buddhist. No matter what, my ancestors were buddhist and i aint that kind who will 'wang4 ben3'.

Then after some announcments, the J1 intake 1 and J2 were dismissed.

We then proceeded with the principal and vice principal talks. The talks were super dry. And JC life sounds really tough. STRESS!! The rest of the day was filled up with all kinds of talks. JC curriculum, Subject choice, leadership, cip, cca, discipline, etc. Boring isnt it??

Managed to make a couple of friends today. 2 from paya lebar sec, 2 from kranji, 1 from chung cheng main. They are rather nice people. But sadly, 3 of them are going to appeal out of ACJC. And 2 of them are going to appeal for NJ. One of them was in NJ during PAE and the other was appealing through netball and had went for netball training there. They kept asking me to appeal there too. But with my results, i think appealing is just a waste of time ba.

So i have made up my mind. I AM GONNA STAY AT ACJC. I AM GOING TO TRY MY BEST TO LIKE ACJC. I WILL ADAPT MYSELF TO ACJC! I AM GOING TO ENJOY THE TWO YEARS OF MINE IN ACJC!!!

School ended at 1.10pm. I walked to the bus stop with two of my new friends. My bus came first and i parted with them. Was rather pissed by the bus driver. I tapped my card and it was the 'beep' sound instead of the ' beep beep'. So the driver checked my card. He was like looking at my school uniform then at the card, asking if i am schooling. I told him that i just started school today and he scolded me for nothing, saying that i have to go extend my ez link card at the ticketing office or else pay adult fare. Wads the link? I paid adult fare kayys?? Its not as if i didnt pay my fare. Hmph!!

Anyway, i went to the ticketing office for the extention and they ask me to call a hotline. the hotline was the kind of "if you are enquring for... please press one." And you know how irritating it was. Finally waited till the "if you want to speak to a customer service officer...press..." and guess what, i waited for >5 mins yet there was still no one picking up the phone. I tried the hotline at least 5 times before getting an answer. And i waited for about 10 mins for that successful call. I asked about the card extention and the customer service officer told me that we will only get to extend our card when the JC send the list of students to sbs transit and that they will only notify us when to extend the card on a later date. I was like WTH? The bus driver made me go through so much trouble for NOTHING. Pissed ><>< Hahax! Saw ah hock's home clothes look. Very unlike his working style lo. Look much younger (as in compared to his working kinda 40plus old uncle look) :p Look more like his age le. He even styled his hair la. SPIKE leh. LOL!!

Shopped around in JP till 5.30pm and walked home alone.

Looking forward to tomorrow's orientation programme. Tomorrow will be filled with games and fun ba. *Hopefully*(Today's talks were seriously very BORING..) Gonna buy my ACJC uniform and PE attire tomorrow le. Gonna spend lots of money lo. Orientation package and tee. Need to go get a pair of sports shoes too. Gonna start saving up again..
