Last blogged @ 11:57 PM TIRED..
Woke up at about 7 am this morning. Its considered quite early for me to wake up at this hour on a saturday. Showered and left home at about 9 plus am. Trained to JE to meet zhixuan, then we trained down to bong keng mrt station together. We had to be at kallang CC for some interact club CIP. We were working with the Singapore Cancer Society. The SCS was holding two talks, one in english and the other in chinese, at kallang CC this afternoon regarding the Prostate Cancer Awareness. So we were actually there to help out with some registration work. We got bored on the way there and took some pictures x) At outram mrt station, waiting for train..  On the train  Reflection..  Us with sleepy face..  The long way out of boon keng mrt station..  Our healthier CHOICE:) *so inspired by the health talk ytd*  Finding Kallang CC..  Saw this very interesting shop on the way to Kallang CC. It sells all sorts on signs. Some of the signs are really interesting. LOLs!~  Hmmms..  Kallang CC..  Reached Kallang CC at about 10 plus am. We started off by helping them paste up some posters and labels around the CC. Then we distributed the feedback forms. Placed the feedback forms on every single seat in the hall where the talk is held. Then, we helped with the arranging of tables and chairs for the registration counters. Soon, registration for the english talk started. What we were supposed to do was rather simple. Just needed to get the people to fill up their particulars in a form then distribute them a pen and a coupon for a free bottle of yakult. After the registration for the first talk, zhixuan and i went for lunch at the canteen in the CC. The food there is very cheap. It is cheaper than school's and its quite tasty too. Ate mixed rice and drank ice coffee. One of the staff from the cancer society, alice, joined us for lunch too. She is quite friendly, she sounds very motherly. LOLs!~ After lunch, we continued with the registration for the second talk. me and zhixuan got shifted to the registration counters at the side. While some other PJC guys who came only in the afternoon took over our original counters. The counter at the side was like damn crowded larh!~ I had to attend to dunno how many people at one time. Had piles for clipboards on my counter and i kept running out of the free pens and the particular forms. And many attending the chinese talk didnt know how to fill in the forms. So we had to help them fill in the forms. Some couldnt even speak mandrian. Thankfully, i know abit of hokkien and a bit of teochew. We didnt even have enough time to catch a breath. While the PJC guys were like chitchatting over at the other counters. Hmph :x After the talk started, the rest of the counters started to pack up while both me and zhixuan's counters were to continue in case of any latecomers. So we slacked at the counters till about 4.30pm. The SCS staff asked if we wanna help out again on the 27th of july, a sunday. They will be having another cancer awareness talk on head and neck cancer. We will be helping out again if there isnt alot of assignments that weekend:) After we packed up, we left kallang CC for boon keng mrt station. Our way down boon keng mrt station:)  On the train leaving boon keng..  We then trained down to westmall to shop. We walked around westmall and bought some stuffs. I then took dinner at KFC. Left westmall at about 7.50 pm. After which, i trained to boonlay and bused to my brother's place. My baby nephew changed quite alot. Left my brother's at about 10plus pm and walked home. The computer in my younger brother's room broke down AGAIN. This time round, its the monitor's problem. So i moved my room's monitor over to his room and tried to see if it can work. I dunno why but the monitor kept showing the power saving mode when the CPU is running. I am sure the monitor is connected to the CPU. Haiis. struggled with the monitors for about an hour larh and it still cant work. I gave up! Showered, blogged and went to bed at about 2am. |
